We had a great night, a big shout out to Jamie, who rode with me all the way from Aurora! He has become a real fan of Relax, a new karaoke bar for him, filed with new friends.
Thanks to Bonnie, Jack, and Darlene for joining us. Jack ,and Darlene really sounded great, and Bonnie entertained us all with her great voice!
Shouts to Alex, The Katie Marie...we will miss you when you move to Orlando, and Tiffany! Bill, Dan D, Meg, and Aleks...you guys are great!
Hello to Dave, Len, and their buddies for singing and drining with us, you guys are to much! Suzane jumped behind the mic tonight, and really rocked some great swing music.
Shouts to Hailey who sang some smoking tunes tonight, and of course a big thanks to Ray, who covered the bar tonight as Alicia had to take the night off for a gynastics meet. Ray was in fine voice as he sang several great song, and a couple of nice duets as well!
A big thank you to Mongo for watching the door, and helping with the gear...you are the best. Tonight really was well attended, and I apologize for the clitch, there were many more singers, and some really great tunes selected! Thanks also for your donations to our Toys For Tots drive!

Dan was getting ready for his birthday, as well as Christmas. He rocked out to, "Jumper", "Only The Good Die Young", "Hey Leonardo"< and, "Don't Look Back In Anger". Dana and Kristy sang, "Pop A Top", and, "Elvira", while Curtis brought out the metal with, "Disappear".
Alex revised the 50's, doing, "La Bamba", Jim sang, "Under The Bridge", and Angelo did, "Break On Through".Tess arrived early. It was great to see her out! Tess did, "House Of The Rising Sun", "Manic Monday", "Across The Universe", "You Know I'm No Good", and, joined Ray on, "Paradise By The Dashboard Light".
Pete joined Kamil on, "Short Skirt, Long Jacket", then sang,
"Bohemian Rhapsody" with, Chris, Jimmy, Peter< and, Nate. It was good to see Bonnie. She always does a great job singing! Bonnie covered, "Hard CandyChristmas", "Happy Christmas, War Is Over",
"Santa baby", and, "Merry Christmas Darling".
Emily, Margot, and, Megan shared voices on, "You've Got To Hide Your Love Away", and, "Me And Bobby McGee". Dave Hanson did, "Boys In The Hood", and, "Ballad Of Chassey Lain", while Christopher sang, "Space Oddity", and "Monster Mash". Bob and Cris sang, "Jump", and Bob soloed on, "Fat Bottomed Girls".
Jack and Darlene were both in fine voice! Jack did, "Too Much Time On My Hands", "JIngle Bell Rock", Mr. Breeze", and joined Darlene on, "Picture". Darlene did, "I Love Rock And Roll", and, "I Hate Myself For Loving You".
A great big holiday hug to Ray, and Alicia for getting our drinks, and a special shout out to Mongo at the door for helping with the gear! Have a great New Years celebration...see you in 2009!

Too bad if you did. He's a great entertainer, and is always in fine voice. He has been well recieved by the crowd at Relax because of his bawdy songs, and great sense of humor. Catch him on the first Sunday of every month, starting at 6pm.

DRIVING DIRECTIONS TO "RELAX ON MILWAUKEE"...... From Aurora, take I-88 to Chicago past the second toll. Look for 294 to Milwaukee/O'Hare. Go north on I-294 towards, O'Hare airport. Take it to the I-90/94 exit to Chicago,(Kennedy Expressway). Take the Kennedy to Kimball (just before the epress lane split), exit onto Kimball heading to the right. Stay on Kimball until you reach Milwaukee Ave. (about 2 major lights). Turn right on Milwaukee Ave.(go about two to three blocks on Milwaukee). The bar is on the right side of the street @ 2937, it has a maroon colored awning, with white lettering. Parking is available on the street. Average travel time is approx. 45 min to an hour in good traffic.
